Good Taste has been my favorite Haitian restaurant ever since it opened. The consistency is always there & even when it's late, I can still get good food with plenty leftover for the next day. My go-to is always the grio with black rice, but I never hesitate to switch it up with white rice & sauce pwà (don't even matter which one because all sauce pwà is good sauce), mais moulen, or rice & beans. The tasso is forever tender & I could go on for days about the legume. If you want some quality Haitian food or you want to try it for the 1st time, this is the spot to hit up!

I've been eating at GOOD TASTE for years and yet this is my first review. I love Haitian food but it's not as popular as it should be, I'm not Haitian but you would think I was by how much Haitian food I consume lol. If you haven't been here and don't speak Creole that's fine just point at what you want, you won't be disappointed. Love this place and the people who own it, they will always have my support. P.S. you'll know how good it is when you pull up because there's Always a long line!

Great food served cafeteria style. There is a tremendous turnover of food due to the volume of patrons that frequent this place. My go to is the fish filet and the fried chicken. This is not to say that everything else is not good. The turn over in food is constant. As you are waiting for your food, there is fresh food coming out. So rest assured that your food is always fresh. The quality of the food is great and can you tell that they use the quality ingredients and methods of cooking. Lastly, the portions are huge.

THIS is where to get Haitian food from in Queens. This place right here. And you're lucky if you're reading this and have never been because it's tricky but I'll break it down. 1- There's always a line. Inside or out. It starts on the left side and wraps around the counter all the way to the register. And the door on the corner is actually and exit. 2- the meats are on the side when you walk in and don't get online if you're not sure because people who know what they want will tell you to move up or move over (lol) 3- i swear by the Poisson- the fish OMG The fried fish. It's BOMB like just squeeze a little lime it's fried perfectly. This night I went my son almost ate all 5 pieces that come with the meal. I was like OMG we are sharing this food- it's that good. 4- i like the grio- fried pork 5- they have like 3 style of rice, if you don't know how to say rice and peas it's Juri a pwa. But they have djon djon Maise mulle and juri blanc which is white rice. But by the time you get to the other side you will still be on line somewhere by the exit door and they will shout out your order and you have to pay attention because everyone will be looking at you waiting to find out what kind of rice will complete your order. 6- they have a lot of options and their food is BANGING!! They give you a hearty portion done be shy. They also have breakfast but i have never been there that early. I think they sell Kremas too. And so now you know the secret is out. I'm Haitian and i love it here! I always say I'm going to pick up dinner and bring it around the corner to my folks but the food has never made it to their house if you know what i mean.

Good Food most of the time. Occasionally the griot is dry. The black rice and Mac and cheese are really good and the Turkey's good too. Lines are long but they move fast. Service is okay but I only want good food not friends lol. There aren't prices listed so I don't know how much until the cashier lets me know.

Had the grist, with Mac au gratin ,plantains and rice for sides. Delish! Dude at the cash register told me I had no idea how hard it was to make all this good tasting food. I told him I did and could, which is why I would rather he make it for me - lol! If you can COOK and want something you couldn't do better, this is your take out place. I know it's mine! Folks criticize the service, lack of food descriptions and visible prices. If you need any of those you are in the wrong place - lol. Ask questions and expect you platter to be around $18.00 bucks and enough food for 2 people easy!
